Highlights Reel
While most of you have been off working all week, I’ve been hanging out at my sister’s place. With my arm cast. Watching DVDs. And drinking Diet Coke (sorry Mom!).
I’ve also been spending a lot of time on the internet. My life in Toronto allows for around 2 hours of computer time a day. Blogging takes up half of that, so I can only browse so many things with the remainder of the time. But this week I’ve had all the time I want to get lost on the internets. Here are some of my favourite things I’ve come across:

Mama Pea’s homemade Cinnamon Toast Cereal

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Muffins from How Sweet Eats

Two Ingredient Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cookies from the Picky Palate

Heather’s Granola Cheesecake Bites

Tricks To A Great Loaf Of Banana Bread

And Lynn ate a tuna and banana salad. It hurt my brain.

Finally! Word in the street is that Women’s Health is holding open nominations for bloggers who should be on their blogroll. I usually don’t get involved in these things, but Women’s Health is one of the few women’s fitness magazines I love. I’ve been dreaming of writing for them for years. Having this little blog of mine featured on their website would basically make my life!!

Click here to fill out the very short nomination form! And don’t forget to do it for all your other favourite bloggers :)

Thanks for sharing my muffins! :)
Banana and tuna? Eeeeew…….
Granola Cheesecake Bites = Heaven!
ha ha ha – i had no idea when i made that salad it would become so controversial!!!
Laughing at the painful brain salad. :)
You must make the cheesecake bites, and I must make more! Off to check out this mug brownie recipe and fill out the nomination form for ya. :)
P.S. Sorry about the arm. :(
I love that you featured some of the fave things youve seen and read. These types of posts are selfless and time consuming (i have done a few in my day :)) and i know you are working with one arm. You are just amazing, Susan!
Off to vote for you now :)
I think I’m just jealous that you have a practical reason to wear a cape…
I nominated you!
Honestly the tuna and bananas don’t freak me out at all! Then again I mix cottage cheese and edamame in my tuna and it grosses everyone out…
Haha, Lynn: your stomach must be made of steel! :) Those all look so good, though, I seriously want some dessert. It’s far too early for dessert, but a girl can dream!
If you are at your sister’s in O-Town, then I would strongly encourage you to go check out Shawarma Palace on Rideau St. as previously discussed. And let me know if you want company – I live nearby!
I really want to enter that blog contest but as I looked at the form, I realized my blog didn’t really fit in any of the categories. Don’t fret though, I’ll vote for you!
Thanks for mentioning the mug brownie!! Haha … doesn’t look to appetizing, but it’s definitely attack-with-a-fork-worthy.
And now I must go try those granola cheesecake bites ;)
